BHB SUPPLIES PROCESS ANALYTICAL SYSTEM TO PORTUCEL CACIA
BHB was selected by Portucel Soporcel to supply the Lime Kiln Electrostatic Precipitator Protection Analysis System for their pulp and paper plant in Cacia.
The Portucel Soporcel Group, conserving the long-term commercial and technical partnership with BHB, approved the replacement Lime Kiln Electrostatic Precipitator Protection Analysis System.
This 10 weeks turnkey project involves the supply of a complete process gas analysis system, a gas sampling and conditioning system, the complete mechanical and electrical mounting activities, as well as the start-up and commissioning of the solution and the training of the operators team.
We’ve chosen an extractive type solution as it presents more precise analysis when compared with the "in situ" solution since the gas to be analyzed presents a high content of particles and can be quite aggressive/corrosive (which inhibits the use of optical technology). Also, we’ve selected ABB’s renowned Easy Line 3020 - Uras26 gas analyzer, with the NDIR measurement principle (Non-dispersive infrared absorption by photometer), allowing continuous, quantitative and qualitative measure of the volume of the CO content.
As turnkey project, BHB will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly, among many other activities, such as the supply and installation of a shelter for the accommodation of the analysis system and its electrical control panel and communication system, the supply and mounting of adaptation flanges in the sampling point, the supply and assembly of the blowing circuit and the full passage of power cables, signal cables (analog and binary) as well as all utilities necessary for the application (power supply, instruments air and calibration standard gas).
