BHB WILL SUPPLY VIDEO-BASED SYSTEM TO CMP (PORTUGAL)
BHB was selected by the Portuguese cement company, CMP, to supply a new DURAG video-based system for integration in one of the Pataias cement plant rotary kilns.
Maintaining the long technical and commercial relationship, CMP decided to award to BHB the supply of a video-based solution to monitor the clinker manufacturing process.
This solution will allow the operators to control the manufacturing process with real-time visualization of the inside of the rotary kiln.
The key-features of this video-based system are:
- Sensors - specially developed for the harsh working conditions of the cement industry;
- Design Concept - all electronic components are operated outside the kiln area, in the cooled camera housing;
- Sensor Shaft - slim, water-cooled sensor shaft (Ø 43mm) that minimises the mechanical stress (abrasive dust) and the thermal influence on the sensor parts in the combustion chamber;
- Optical System - protected against mechanical and thermal damage by sapphire glass at the sensor tip, in addition to air flushing;
- Service - as no moving parts (no mirrors, prisms or motors) are located in the process-oriented area, the sensors achieve a high availability with minimum service requirement.
